First class electrical insulation
TUFNOL Grade 2P/45 is made from a high quality bleached Kraft paper, bonded with a specially modified epoxy resin. It gives first class electrical insulation properties, including high electric strength, very high insulation resistance and exceptionally good resistance to electrical tracking. It is suitable for use up to 130ºC and can be readily machined into finished components. Items can also be hot punched from sheets up to 3.2mm (1/8 inches) thick.
What is TUFNOL Grade 2P/45 used for?
This grade is most commonly selected where exceptionally good electrical performance is required from a material with first class machining characteristics. Mounting plates, coil supports, high voltage insulation blocks, spacers and terminal supports, these are typical of the applications for which TUFNOL Grade 2P/45 is used.
