TUFNOL Phenolic Glass Pultrusions
TUFNOL pultruded composite profiles are high strength glass fibre reinforced materials, suitable for a wide range of applications where a rigid, corrosion resistant, non-metallic material is required.
This phenolic glass grade is specially formulated with a resin which provides excellent fire performance. It exhibits good resistance to flame spread, with low smoke output and low smoke toxicity.
This, combined with its resistance to corrosion in an outdoor environment, makes it suitable to
replace conventional materials in many applications where the dangers of smoke are critical in the event of fire.
Low thermal conductivity helps to limit the transfer of heat from a fire area and phenolic glass pultrusions can be most effective in the fabrication of fire barriers and in fire stopping.
